Dear students and parents,

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, FCYBA will not be able to run this Spring. So sorry for any disappointment.

As many of you know, this is a new project that I have been trying to pilot in Kansas City. We had a successful Spring 08 session but unfortunately numerous factors have come into play that mean that we are unable to run a 2009 Spring season. I have been working hard over the past few weeks to remedy these issues but have not been able to find a suitable solution.

We are hoping to have some EXPO type workshops in place for later in the Spring. I will send out more information once confirmed.

This has been a very difficult decision on my behalf and I have thought long and hard about how I can
improve for next year.

Proposed plans include:
-Applying for funding
-Finalizing plans for a new and stable rehearsal facility
-Practice folders available pre season
-Establish audition process for the Academy Band

I hope that you understand that I am still committed to making the FCYBA an organization that is recognized both locally and nationally as a centre of excellence for brass and percussion.
