FCBB at UMKC's White Hall (Red, White & Brass)

FCBB wraps up 2005-2006 season!

In a busy two weeks the FCBB wrapped up their 2005-2006 concert season by presenting two performances of Red, White & Brass, participating in Town Pavilion's "Bring Your Kid's to Work Day", and performing for several thousand people at UMKC's commencement. The band would like to thank all of its families, friends, and supporters for making this our best year yet. 2006-2007 will mark the band's fifth year and is shaping up to be one to remember. In addition to participating in the North American Brass Band Championships and the U.S. Open, the band will release their first recording, host internationally acclaimed soloists and clinicians, Bob and David Childs, perform the gala concert at the Great Plains Regional Tuba & Euphonium Conference, and perhaps making their first trip as a group abroad. In addition to all of this the FCBB has been invited to give clinics and perform the President's Concert at the 69th annual Missouri Music Educators Association Conference in January at the beautiful Tan-Tar-a resort on the Lake of the Ozarks. MMEA is one of the largest music educators conferences in the U.S. and the band is both humbled and honored by their invitation.

Please enjoy these works from Red, White & Brass:

SUPPORT YOUR BAND

The Fountain City Brass Band is an American Heritage Foundation.

As a non-profit organization, the Fountain City Brass Band relies on grants and its corporate and private supporters for financial assistance. Without these generous tax deductible donations, our band could not continue recruiting talented players for the band or giving this area the same quality programs and guest artists.

Tickets sales account for only half of the costs of each concert. Our goal is to keep ticket prices within an affordable range so that all persons may have access to the performances. In order to continue giving the community the same level of quality band music, the band must raise funds to offset our costs.

Our "Friends of the FCBB" can choose from a variety of ways to assist us in producing the same exquisite programs, often with gifted guest artists brought in from all over the world. Outright gifts of cash, planned gifts and fundraisers are all ways individuals and groups can ensure the continued delivery of the timeless masterpieces and contemporary pops.

For more assistance on planned giving and how to participate in our fundraisers, simply call our office at (816) 305-4894 or email us at fcbb@fcbb.net.

Tax deductible cash gifts may be mailed to Fountain City Brass Band, Inc., PO Box 7119
