Experience the thrilling collision of classical orchestral repertoire and the dynamic signature style of the Fountain City Brass Band in ‘Classic Brass.’ A fusion of tradition and innovation awaits, promising an unforgettable concert experience where two musical worlds meet.

Join us for the season finale concert by the award-winning Fountain City Brass Band, conducted by principal guest conductor Roger Oyster, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 7:30 PM in the Bell Cultural Events Center at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.

You won’t want to miss Roger Oyster’s incredible insights into the repertoire, gained from his distinguished career with some of the country’s finest orchestras. The concert features works by celebrated orchestral composers such as Berlioz, Dvorak, Strauss, and Vaughan Williams, and the talented Dr. Jennifer Oliverio will perform Joaquín Rodrigo’s beautiful ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’ on the flugelhorn.

The evening will culminate with a breathtaking performance of Mussorgsky’s masterpiece ‘Pictures at an Exhibition.’ Be a part of the magic and get your tickets today! The FCBB had a great week at the North American Brass Band Championships in Huntsville, AL with a second place finish in the competition. A HUGE congratulations to all of the members of the JMU Brass Band on your winning performance this weekend, you were brilliant! Also, we are so incredibly proud of all of our students in the Fountain City Academy Band who won the third section this year 🖤💙. Thank you to everyone on the NABBA board for your work organizing the event and to the Brass Band of Huntsville for hosting us, we look forward to seeing everyone next year!

The Fountain City Brass Band had an absolute blast this weekend at the Gateway Brass Band Championships in St. Louis, MO! We were thrilled to come away with first place in the Championship section and we are so proud of the Fountain City Youth Brass Academy for their first place finish in the Open section - traditional. Thanks so much to the St. Louis Brass Band for your work to organize everything and congratulations to all of the competing bands!

This year we released our Christmas CD ‘A Fountain City Christmas’ travelled the UK for @brassinconcert shared the stage with @bone_afide and shared a number of concerts in our hometown of Kansas City.
