Jace Vickers

Dr Jace Thomas Vickers lives in the woods of Alabama where he spends most days exploring nature with his family, playing the tuba, swinging kettlebells, herding cows, and training the next generation of musicians at Ashford High School.

Dr Vickers attended Troy University and the University of Oklahoma; notable performing highlights include performances with the Colorado Symphony, solo appearances at the 2019 CMS International Conference in Ghent, Belgium, Championship-winning performances at the North American Brass Band Championships, and featured solo performances at various tuba-euphonium conferences.

Dr Vickers founded the ECU Brass Band, and led them to appearances at the Gateway Brass Band Festival, NABBA, the OkMEA Conference, and others.

Dr Vickers is a Mercer & Barker Performing Artist performing exclusively on Mercer & Barker tuba, euphonium, and baritone mouthpieces.
