The Fountain City Brass Band is committed to musical excellence, educational outreach, and cultural representation on both national and international stages. Your support enables us to sustain our artistic mission, invest in the next generation of brass musicians through the Fountain City Youth Brass Academy, and represent the United States at the 2026 World Music Championships in the Netherlands. The Fountain Fund
Fountain City Brass Band (FCBB) is the reigning North American Brass Band Association champion band, a 10-time winner of the championship section in the annual competition. The band is filled with dedicated and talented musicians from Kansas City and around the country who are committed to maintaining FCBB’s position as the top brass band in the U.S.
In addition to the national annual competition circuit, FCBB performs a year-round series of concerts in and around the greater Kansas City area and gets invited regularly to the top European competitions. Fountain City Brass Band also leads an academy band for school-aged musicians of any level, the advanced band of which also wins national accolades. Band members and families fund their own travel each year.
As with most arts organizations, annual operating costs are not fully covered by revenue from ticket sales. Donations of any size are welcome and go towards operating costs, including music purchase and rental, guest conductor fees, competition fees, uniforms, instrument purchase and rental, and more.
