Helen Harrelson is the Principal Baritonist of the Fountain City Brass Band, Founder and President of the Fountain City Youth Brass Academy, and Founder and Artistic Director of the National Youth Brass Band of America.

Originally from England, Helen has performed on more than 40 commercially released recordings and held positions with renowned ensembles such as the Black Dyke Band, Fodens Band, and YBS Band. A passionate advocate for brass pedagogy and performance, she has appeared as a soloist, presenter, and clinician at major international events, including the Midwest Clinic, International Women’s Brass Conference, International Tuba & Euphonium Conference, International Trombone Festival, and International Trumpet Guild.

Helen is a Besson/Buffet Crampon Performing Artist, serving as a consultant and clinician worldwide, and continues to inspire the next generation of brass musicians through her leadership and artistry.
